Creator God,

All power and authority belong to You. You established government for our protection and peace. Thank You for the civil leaders that You have provided. We ask that You would give them clear and discerning minds. Cause them to work selflessly for the safety and freedom of our community. Protect them from pride, greed, and selfish ambition. Give them wisdom, ingenuity, and foresight. Help them recognize the soundest ways, not merely the quickest ways, to benefit our island. Surround them with capable, caring associates who work in harmony. Use them to establish order and peace. 

In Jesus’ Name,

PRAY:

  • For humility, integrity, health, and energy

  • For wisdom, commitment to justice, and love of mercy

  • For wisdom to know how to handle the housing for thousands of displaced families

  • For the protection of civil liberty

  • For long term solutions, cooperation, and teamwork
